The journey to
wedded bliss for my husband Jacob and I began seven months ago,
in October 2009 when researching outdoor wedding venues. I give
full credit to my husband for coming across Twelve Oaks Hill
Country Bed & Breakfast.
After I checked out their website, I found myself nervous during
my initial call to Twelve Oaks, thinking there is no way that this
place isn't already booked through the year. To my surprise, the
weekend we had chosen for our wedding day was
available!
Sally Miniel, the Wedding Coordinator and Owner of Twelve Oaks understood my time-crunch jitters and reassured us that the packages available at the venue would ease my concerns. She was right. Jacob and I chose A Catered Affair, this all-inclusive package was exactly what this bride was in need of.
The venue, decor, and tabletop arrangements were gorgeous. Sally was there for me every step of the way, through phone calls, consultations, and long emails, she provided me with a caring and understanding ear. Jacob and I were married on April 24, 2010; a beautiful spring afternoon, with the sun shining through the oaks and a cool breeze...
Our Pastor, provided by Twelve Oaks, Pastor Mike Herrington, made us feel like we’d grown up with him as our very own. His demeanor and eloquent tone of voice was like something like that out of a movie.
Our photographer,
Mary Gonzalez, also provided by Twelve Oaks, has an experienced
and professional touch.
She took control and reined in the members of our rowdy and
uncooperative family that seemed to fight family portraits tooth
and nail.
Most of all, Mary made Jacob and I feel comfortable and that
allowed for our “photogenic personalities” to shine
through.
Our menu for dinner
was customized and tailored to our tastes and personalities;
needless to say, the food was devoured.
The staff at Twelve Oaks took care of us and our family beyond
our expectations and dreams. Jacob and I look forward to
returning to Twelve Oaks for our anniversary next year. Thank you
again to all the staff at Twelve Oaks for making our wedding day
unforgettable.
